How long would it take
to convert my vehicle to being Wheelchair Accessible?
The conversion process takes approximately 3 weeks.
Why do you only convert
KIA vehicles and Toyota Taragos?
Right Price Conversions extensively researched
the market for wheelchair accessible vehicles
and found the most appropriate vehicles to be converted,
rather than finding a vehicle then figuring out
what was needed to convert it to being wheelchair
accessible. Our conversions do not interfere with
the chassis of the vehicles and completely comply
with relevant Australian Standards.

for the KIA Grand Carnival and Toyota Tarago vehicles from 2000 models onwards.
Which Australian Standards
are met by your conversions?
Australian Disability Standards (AS 1428.1) in
respect of wheelchair accessible taxis. The “Design
for Access and Mobility, Part 1 General Requirements
for Access and Mobility” requirements of
AS 2942 “Wheelchair Restraint Systems”
and the relevant requirements of AS 3856.1 for
“Hoists and Ramps for People with Disabilities
– Vehicle mounted”.

Price Conversions have designed the wheelchair
section so that they feel like they are part of
the car and on equal terms with the other passengers
on board. They feel safe, secure and comfortable.

you had from the driver’s perspective?
From the driver’s perspective the vehicles have the
acknowledged KIA and Toyota durability. They are inexpensive
to buy, maintain and repair compared to other
comparable vehicles.
How many people can
fit into a converted KIA or Toyota Tarago?
After Right Price Conversions have completed the
conversion the vehicles can seat the driver
plus 7 people; or 4 people plus a wheelchair.
Who carries out the
work on the vehicles?
All conversions are done in-house by Right Price
Conversions own licensed mechanics, panel beaters
and body makers. |
